By simply rotating the jaws of the HIT-45 Clamp 180 degrees and adding the HIT-45FP5 faceplate routing attachment, your HIT-45 can route the 1 1/4" X 8" faceplate used on most mortise locks. With the opening perfectly centered to the mortise pocket, and the faceplate bevel matching the door, the corners only need to be squared with a chisel to be ready for use. This is an add on kit to be used with the HIT-45 Clamp and HIT-45AR5 Template Guide. Requires a router equipped with a 3/4" outside diameter guide and a 5/8" diameter bit.
